As a result, our company is growing fast and always welcoming new talents.SUMMARYThe Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for delivering quality customer service to Company computer desktop users in both office and manufacturing work environments. Provides technical support by phone, remotely, and/or desk side, including production floor. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following:* Supports users with day-to-day desktop service including PC hardware, PC software, peripherals, and digital desktop phones.* Provides excellent customer service, via phone and in-person, concerning all aspects of technology provided by the IT Department.* Conduct first-level problem determination using documented procedures and available tools.* Prioritizes tickets/work orders to ensure timely support in all critical areas throughout the facility.* Documents detailed information concerning trouble tickets as required by IT department protocol.* Keep users informed as necessary on the status of their open tickets.* Installs and configures desktop hardware and software in accordance with established procedures.* Performs asset management activities of tracking software licenses and desktop usage.* Requisitions additional software licenses and hardware (PC's, printers, scanner, phones, and components) in accordance with published guidelines* Initiates escalation as appropriate to ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targets.* Provides after-hour and weekend support as per work schedule.* Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.* Attends all required job-related training (internal and external).* Continually exemplifies and is an advocate of LISI Aerospace's Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles as stated in LISI Aerospace's Team Member Handbook.* Champions and participates in the LEAP (LISI Excellence Achievement Program) in support of the Company's commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of; HSE, Quality, and Production.* Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.* Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIESEducation and/or Experience* High School Diploma--or GED with some college or equivalent related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* 2 +year experience in processing, desktop support, and resolving calls for technical support.Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills Ability to add, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; subtract in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; multiply in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should--have--proficiency in basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. In-depth knowledge and--experience.--Proficient in basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. A good understanding of networking concepts and fundamentals, cable configurations, remote desktop, and practical knowledge of Intel-based hardware. Ability to understand and administer operational and production support procedures.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The Factory Manager is fully responsible for implementing safety and environmental rules within the area of responsibility. Must uphold all safety standards and have in-depth knowledge of safety. Must be a coach and model safety excellence by wearing prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring employees under his span of control are adhering to all safety rules. Has ultimate responsibility and authority to stop production if any hazard is present that may affect the safety of the employees in the shift
