Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Torrance, CA Agency: Jackson Therapy Partners Pay: $1,291 to $1,491 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We're hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Torrance, CA. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills they need for everyday life. Apply and a recruiter will contact you with next steps. Minimum Requirements Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college. Active California COTA license or state license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start. Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is required by the client. Demonstrated experience with ADL retraining, adaptive equipment, and restorative programs preferred. Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document in electronic medical records, and follow facility protocols. Travel assignment availability and eligibility to work for the duration of the contract are required. Preferred: prior experience with 5x8 day schedules in SNF settings and working with geriatric patient populations. Assignment Details Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility. Shift name: Days. Shift details: Days 0800-1630. Work days: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat (per VMS work days). Guaranteed weekly hours: 35 (per VMS). Contract length: 14 weeks (per VMS contract weeks).
