Associate, or full Professor ranks.
The department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential
for conducting exceptional research, excellence in teaching, and a
clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty in the
fields of public health and health services research. Successful
applicants will have conducted outstanding, independent scholarly
work in health services research with clear implications for
clinical practice, population health management, or health policy.
We welcome expertise in a broad range of topical areas, including
in health equity, which is a particular strength of our Division.
Additionally, we invite applications for a faculty position at the
assistant and associate level for those interested in palliative
care research. Areas of methodologic expertise include but are not
limited to machine learning/artificial intelligence, econometrics,
behavioral economics, implementation science, evaluation of natural
experiments and/or interventions at the practice, health system,

with mixed methods including qualitative research approaches.
Applicants must have the potential to obtain peer-reviewed funding
and to serve as PI on multidisciplinary research teams. Research
training via fellowship, Master's, or a Ph.D. program is highly
desirable. Successful clinician investigator applicants will care
for patients as well as teach and supervise clinical trainees.
Successful non-clinician candidates will be involved in teaching
research methods to postdoctoral fellows and other research
trainees. An M.D. with board certification in Internal Medicine
and/or a Ph.D. is required.
