Job Description Job Description We are looking for a
detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in
Carlsbad, California. In this contract-to-permanent role, you will
play a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate billing for a
high volume of shipments each day. This position requires
precision, efficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced
environment. Responsibilities: • Process daily billing for all
completed shipments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established
service-level agreements. • Review shipment details to verify
rates, surcharges, and customer-specific pricing are correctly
applied. • Resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with the
pricing team and other relevant departments. • Maintain compliance
with customer contracts and internal billing policies while
ensuring all documentation is up to standard. • Identify recurring
billing issues or inefficiencies in system processes and provide
recommendations for improvements. • Support month-end close
activities, including tasks related to billing and revenue
recognition. • Organize and maintain records to facilitate audits,
respond to customer inquiries, and address dispute resolutions. •
Handle high-volume data entry efficiently, managing up to 300-400
shipments daily. • Navigate proprietary systems effectively to
complete billing tasks. • Assist with additional administrative
duties as needed to support the accounts receivable department. •
Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related
field. • Familiarity with transportation logistics and freight
charges is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of customer
contracts and pricing models. • Proficiency in data entry and
navigating computer systems in a high-volume environment. •
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a
fast-paced setting. • Effective communication skills to resolve
discrepancies and collaborate with various teams. • Ability to
identify and address recurring billing issues or inefficiencies. •
Experience with month-end close processes and maintaining organized
records for audits.
